"The Metamorphosis"

I'm currently taking a "Novel" class. This class involves everything about literature of course, novels & poetry. This is the first time i hear about this really interesting book titled "The Metamorphosis". For instance, when the Professor asked about the definition of the word: of course, i had to answer the most relevant question  because of my scientific understanding of the word META-MOR-PHO-SIS- meaning a change that has to do with the psysical aspect of our lives. Nevetheless, now that i began reading this book i think is a bit confusing it should be called "The- Metaphor" get it!? I'm just a bit bad with metaphors, but is so funny because i am so sarcastic i mean i should undertand plenty of metaphors! too bad i really do-not.
